50600: Malcolm Montgomery
Malcolm, son of Donald Montgomery and Marion Mackinnon, 34 Balallan moved to Kent in the early 1890s. He worked as a draper before setting up in business as a tailor and draper in 1898. Malcolm became a member of Deal Council in 1913, becoming Mayor of Deal in 1925 and was elevated to the Aldermanic Bench in 1928. He became tenant of croft 34, but renounced the tenancy in favour of his brother James.
