Iain Aonghais
John (1780-c1830) was a son of Angus Smith and Barbara Macleod. By 1807 he had obtained 3 Strome and is still listed as a tenant in Strome in the 1820 rent roll.
He married Catherine Nicolson and they settled at 3 Strome where they had at least three of their seven children.
The family later settled in Shieldnish.
