Margaret (1821-1858) was a daughter of John Smith and Catherine Nicolson, Shieldenish. The family later moved to 42 Balallan and in 1851 were living a 5 Achmore.
At Leurbost, in 1853, she married widower Norman Macmillan, of 32 Balallan. Margaret and Norman remained at 32 Balallan and they had three children.
