Donald was born 4 September 1910 at 11 Burndyke Street to Angus and Mary nee Macaulay. He served in the Airborne during the WW2.

Donald never married and worked for the Western Scottish Motor Traction Company ( better known as Western SMT bus Company ) as an accounts clerk and latterly with Sir William Arrol & Co., Glasgow.

He died on 17 June 1980 at 54 Angus Oval, Cardonald
