Donald  (born 1888) was a son of Roderick Macleod and Mary Finlayson, 28 Cromore.  

He served as a Lieutenant in the Seaforth Highlanders in the First World War. His name is mentioned in  Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918. 

After the War Donald became a headmaster and lived on the mainland.
