Malcolm (1786-1859) was a son of John Maclean and Henrietta Macaulay, Reef. He married Margaret Maciver and lived in Pabbay and later Reef. They had ten children.
After Reef was cleared they relocated to Old Mid Borve.
By 1851 the family had obtained 2 High Borve.
