48499: Malcolm Macdonald
Malcolm, born, 1870, was a son of Donald and Catherine nee Mackay, 18 Valtos.
He emigrated to Canada but lost his money in a joint venture with his brother, Roderick. He returned to Glasgow and was married twice. His first wife was Margaret Bannerman from Sutherland with whom he had a son, Donald Bannerman Macdonald (RNVR; killed 02-10-1917).
His second wife was Margaret Baird Port with whom he had another son, Allan (married 15 Sep 1950, St Matthews Highlanders Memorial Church, Glasgow, Mary "Molly" Hobson (b. 14 Sep 1915 Birkenhead, Cheshire d. 8 Feb 1988, 16 Strathaven Road, Eaglesham).
Malcolm died at 1 Enaclete after WW2 and is buried in Bosta cemetery.
