47375: Catherine Macleod
Catherine Macleod (1866-1950) was a daughter of Roderick and Barbara Macleod, 28 Cromore. Her mother died in 1874 and Catherine and her sister Isabella went to live with her maternal grandparents at 17 Cromore.
In Lochs, in 1886, she married Robert Montgomery, 8 Cromore. Catherine and Robert settled at 17 Cromore and they had seven children.
Some time after Robert’s death in 1900 the family moved to Stornoway. Living at 21 New Street, 31 Bayhead Street and 18 Mackenzie Street where Catherine lived until her death.
