Robert (born 1886) was a son of Donald Kennedy and Margaret Macleod, of 16 Cromore.
He served in the Seaforth Highlanders in the First World War and his name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
In Stornoway, in 1917, he married Catherine Smith, 19 Marvig. Robert and Catherine had four children.
Robert was a Free Church missionary.
