Donald  (born 1884) was a son of Kenneth Macleod and Margaret Macdonald, 14 Cromore.

On March 29, 1916 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number SD4636. His record indicates that he was 5 ft 8½ in tall with hazel eyes and a sallow complexion. Donald was a fisherman on Stornoway registered fishing boats, he was immediately Mobilised and served in the Royal Navy in the First World War. Based at HMS Vivid III, HMS Victory, HMS Europa and aboard HMS Valhalla and HMS Osiris II. Donald was awarded £16.5/- Prize Money and his name is mentioned in  Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.

He was a bachelor.
