Calum Mhurchaidh Tholmaich
Malcolm (1831-1901) was a son of Murdo Macleod and Ann Montgomery, 12 Old Eishken.
Old Eishken was cleared in 1835 and the family moved to 12 Balallan.
In the early 1850’s the family exchanged croft with Alexander Montgomery, 7 Balallan.
He married Ann Macleod, 17 Balallan in Lochs, in 1857. Malcolm and Ann became the first tenants of 8 Lemreway, where they had four of their eleven children.
In 1871, after his father’s death, the family moved to 7 Balallan.
