43201: Angus Smith

Angus, born c1796, was a son of John and Catherine nee Maciver from Earshader. He was married to Chirsty nee Mackay and lived in Valtos where they registered; Malcolm on 25-06-1825, Donald on 12-04-1828, Chirsty on 02-07-1832, Angus on 01-08-1833, Norman on 06-12-1836 and John on 12-11-1840. Other children recorded in census 1841 are Mary c1826 and Ann c1826.

They emigrated to Quebec on the ‘Marquis of Stafford’ on the 19th May 1851 and settled in North Hill, Compton County.

Angus may have died before 1871 as his wife, Chirsty, was enumerated with their son Norman in the township of South Winslow (census 1871) .
