Mary (1901-1987) was a daughter of Malcolm Macaulay and Ann Morrison, 2 Kirkibost. She may have been born at 4 Kirkibost the home of her maternal grandparents. Mary lived at 2 Kirkibost until the death of her mother in 1907. She then lived with her maternal grandmother, Barbara Morrison nee Macrae at 4 Kirkibost and later at Valtos.
Mary trained as a Nurse and became a Registered General Nurse in 1924 in London.
In Brentwood, Essex, in 1932, she married Eric Herbert Bucknall. The couple settled in and around the Birmingham area and they had five children. The family later lived in the United States of America, India, and Bangladesh. Mary and Eric retired to Brixham, Devon.
