42504: Isabella Morrison

Isabella, daughter of Duncan Morrison and Ann Macdonald, 1 Balallan was a nurse. After her father’s death in 1896, she was adopted by a grand-aunt who lived at 35 Lewis Street, Stornoway. She emigrated to the USA where she became a pioneer in the field of the education of young children. She wrote the book, ‘Knot of Love’ as an account of her life.
