42436: Donald Mackay
Donald, son of John Mackay and Jessie Mackay, Valtos Farm, Lochs emigrated to the USA in the early 1900s where he became a horse breaker and a driver of stock animals up to San Francisco. He was in that city during the earthquake of 1906. Donald served in the US and British armies and eventually returned home to marry Isabella Macleod, Holm, Stornoway. They had no children.
