41804: Ann Macleod

Anna Chaluim

Ann was a daughter of Malcolm Macleod and Mary  Macleod, 17 Balallan. 

In Lochs, in 1825, she married Kenneth Macleod, Vuia Mhor. The couple had a son, Malcolm before emigrating to Canada in 1826. Malcolm died on the voyage but the death was concealed until they arrived at their destination so that the body would not be buried at sea.

They settled on Hunter's Mountain, Cape Breton and they had three more children.

After her marriage her parents moved to 3 Garyvard. Family tradition says that Kenneth was married to Ann nee Smith born Balallan 1805-1885.
