41647: Margaret Campbell
Margaret Campbell (1776-1858) was a daughter of Roderick Campbell and Christina Maclennan, Harris.
Her mother died and her father married Isabella Macleod. The family settled at Teilishnish, Harris.
The family were evicted and moved to Lochs. Margaret was living at Buanish before her marriage.
Margaret married Angus Macsween, from Harris, and they had five children. By 1820 the family are recorded on the subtenants list of Seaforth Head and were settled at 1 Seaforth Head.
The village was cleared in 1826 and the family were moved to 16 Tong.
Margaret’s brothers John and Colin, Buanish settled in Tong at this time, John at 14 and Colin at 17.
