Murdoch (1781-1859) was a son of John Mackenzie and Isabella Munro, Orinsay.
He married Ann Macdonald from Lemreway. Murdoch and Ann settled at 9 Old Orinsay and they had seven children.
In 1843 the family were removed to 6 Grimshader.
