Colin Mackenzie (Cailean Dearg) was factor or Chamberlain of the Island of Lewis from 1739.
Colin had one daughter who married Donald Macneil of Gigha and Eilean Chaluim Chille – owner of a famous brig. See the story of the Cuiriseal boatbuilders.
