John, born in 1897, was a son of Norman and Mary nee Macdonald, 7 Tobson. He served in the Royal Naval Reserve during WW1.
John married Flora Macdonald, 7 Croir and settled at 4 Tobson until her father's death when they moved to her family home; they raised three children.
