39918: Angus Macleod, Reverend
Aonghas Aonghais Nèill
Angus Macleod (1854-1913) son of Angus Macleod and Margaret Montgomery, 25 Laxay was the last teacher in the old Gaelic School in Kershader. He was living in Stornoway in 1885 when he married Effie Campbell of 5 Carragriach, Harris.
Angus was ordained a Free Church Missionary and settled in Gravir in 1909. He had to petition the Assembly for permission to be translated to Carloway and was inducted there on 13 June 1913 but died shortly afterwards.
