Flora (1909-2003) was a daughter of Malcolm Macarthur and Mary Macdonald who lived at 1 Kirkibost. Flora left home as a young teenager and trained to become a nurse. Her natural intelligence and practical methods helped her achieve the position of assistant matron before she left her work and returned home. In 1945 she married Murdo Macdonald and moved to his family home at 4 Lundale where the couple raised one daughter.
