Donald (1828-1881) was a son of Donald Maclean and Margaret Macaulay, 10 Valtos. He married Ann Macdonald of Bosta, Bernera, and remained at 10 Valtos, becoming the second tenant (his father was the first). Donald and Ann had five children.
