Rev Malcolm Macleod

Rev Malcolm Macleod (1838-1908) was born in Crowlista, Uig and christened in 1839, son of Angus Macleod and Mary Macdonald., Uig. He was a minister in Canada for many years before returning to Lewis to become the Minister of the Free Church of Scotland, Kinloch in 1905 where he remained until he collapsed and died in the pulpit in 1908. After this, the charge was vacant for almost 20 years, during which time the congregation was served by missionaries.

Malcolm married Elizabeth Jameson from Glasgow in 1880 and they had two daughters.
