38494: John Morrison

John Morrison was the son of Malcolm Morrison and Margaret Macleod. He lived at 13 Carnish and married Ann Macleod, daughter of Murdo and Betsy nee Macritchie of Scaliscro, in 1840. He is living with his parents in 1841 but his wife is not in evidence.

Circa 1850 a rentroll for Carnish gives his mother, the widow Morrison, and her son James. We have no further trace of John, though James settled at 5 Valtos and oral tradition suggests John may have gone to Valtos too.
