38081: John Mackay
John Mackay ‘Iain Ruadh’ (born 1776) was married to Henny Macdonald and lived at 2 Valtos; with issue. Tradition maintains that John was an "old soldier", a veteran of the 78th Seaforth Highlanders, and that he was blind, a common affliction for those who had served in the Egyptian Campaign of 1807.
