3783: Malcolm Macleod Campbell

Calum Alasdair Iain

Malcolm Macleod Campbell  (1924-1988) was a son of Alexander Campbell and Euphemia Macleod, 11 Glenside, Gravir. He was the first baby born in the newly-settled glen. 

Calum na Toff joined up at Fort George in 1944 and was a Lance Corporal, Service Number 14876009, with the King's Own Scottish Borderers. He served at Bergen in Norway and Bielveld in Germany, and was demobbed in July 1947. His name is mentioned in Roll of Honour: Pairc, Second World War.

At Hillhead, in 1950, he married Margaret Mackenzie of 16 Marvig. Malcolm and Margaret  settled in Fife  and they had a family.
