37618: John Mackenzie
John Mackenzie (1892-1918) son of Kenneth Mackenzie and Ann Mackenzie, 11 Arivruach served with the Seaforth Highlanders during the First World War. He was killed at the Battle of the Somme. The records are not clear as to whether he was wounded at the Somme and died later as the date of death given was after the Battle of the Somme. His brother Kenneth was lost during the First World War and there may be some confusion between the two dates.
