37354: Malcolm Macleod

Malcolm (1931-2008) was a son of Malcolm Macleod and Ann Maciver who lived at Knock House. He served in the 78th Regiment of the Seaforth Highlanders in the Second World War. His name is mentioned in Roll of Honour: Ness to Bernera – For King and Country 1939-1945.

At Inverness, in 1959, he married Catriona Somhairle Thomson and lived in Inverness before moving home to Breaclete. They spent a short time at Benview and Heath park before moving to Viewfield.

Malcolm, who became the Bernera postman, was divorced from Catriona and in 1984, at Park Circus, Glasgow, he married Mary Ann Maclean from Callanish.
