3705: Alexander Campbell

Alasdair Iain Alasdair

Alexander (1818-1873) was a son of  John Campbell and Elizabeth Moore, 2 Old Gravir at Tumanuadan.

In Lochs, in 1850, he married Christina Nicolson, 3 Old Steimreway. Alexander and Christina were Cottars at 2 Old Gravir where they had one of their three children. In the 1852 Lotting Alexander moved with his brother, Murdo to 40 Gravir, still as Cottars. The family later obtained 18a Gravir.

Both brothers were drowned in an accident in the north Minch in 1873.
