Murdo (born 1897) was a son of Murdo Macdonald and Mary Macleod, 9 Kershader
On June 4, 1915 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve, Service Number A5407 and subsequently re-enrolled under B6010. His records indicate that he was 5 ft 3¾ in tall with Blue eyes and a fresh complexion. Murdo was immediately Mobilised and served in the Royal Navy in the First World War based at HMS Pembroke and aboard HMS Royal Scott. Murdo received £18.15/- in Prize Money and his name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
After the War Murdo worked as a Deckhand on the CT Hopper in Glasgow.
Murdo was a bachelor and lived with his uncle Donald and family at 24 Apsley Street, Glasgow
