Donald Macdonald (1875-1942) was a son of John Macdonald and Christy Munro, 9 Kershader.
In Glasgow, in 1905, he married Mary Mackenzie of 7 Garyvard. Donald was a bargeman on the River Clyde and his wife Mary was a domestic servant. They lived at 22 Eaglesham Street, Govan and they had a daughter Christina, (Tina) born 1907.
Donald was widowed in 1923 and in Hillhead, in 1926 he married Catherine Mackay from Rhenigidale, Harris. At the time he was Deputy Harbourmaster on the Clyde and their address is given as 24 Apsley Street, Glasgow. Donald and Catherine had two sons.
