Donald (1880-1952) was a son of John Mcleod and Ann Macrae, 4 Garyvard.
At Stornoway, in 1908, he married Donaldina Macleod, 21 Laxay. Immediately after the wedding Donald emigrated to the United States of America. Sailing from Glasgow to New York on the SS Furnessia. Donald, who was a baker, emigrated with another Donald Macleod from Stornoway, who was also a baker. A month later Donaldina also emigrated in the SS Furnessia. The couple settled at 80 Shawmut Street, Lewiston, Maine and they had three daughters,
Donald was widowed in 1938.
