Angus Alexander was born in 1914, the son of Angus MacKillop and Effie Munro of 13 Borve, Berneray. He attended Berneray School between 1921 and 1928, furthering his education at Kingussie Higher Grade School.
Rev Angus Mackillop (1914-1972) was the son of Angus Mackillop and Euphemia, Berneray, Isle of Harris. He was the minister of Church of Scotland, Kinloch from 1944-1957 when he moved to Applecross. He remained there until 1965 when he moved to Carloway. Angus’ wife was a teacher in Achmore School at the time of their marriage. They had two children.
