35715: John Macdonald
John Macdonald (born 1822) was a son of Donald Macdonald and Ann Maclean, 23 Old Leurbost.
His father died in 1825 and in the 1840’s his mother lost the croft and became a Cottar in Leurbost.
In Lochs, in 1834, he married Mary Nicolson, 5 Kershader. John and Mary lived at 23 Old Leurbost where they had two sons. The family then moved to 5 Kershader.
John emigrated to North America and abandoned his wife and children.
