2971: Isabella Munro

Isabella (1843-1933) was a daughter of Norman Munro and Isabella Macleod, Valtos, Kinloch.
In 1844 the family moved to the shore at Keose which later became Gleann Tharmoid named after her father Norman.
The family moved again to Caverstay Common around 1859 and later to 15 Grimshader.
At Stornoway, in 1871, she married John Macphail, 19 Gravir. Isabella and John settled at 16 Gravir and they had a son, John.
Isabella was widowed in 1873 when John was lost at sea.
At Crossbost, in 1876, she married Angus Chisholm of 29 Gravir. Isabella and Angus remained at 16 Gravir and they had five children.
Isabella was widowed again in 1910.
