Agnes Hunter (1815-1863) was a daughter of Donald Hunter and her mother’s maiden name was Chambers. They lived at Kirkmichael, Dumfriesshire.
She married Walter Beattie and they lived at Shepherd’s House, Eishken. Agnes and Walter had six children.
The family moved to Timsgarry in 1857.
