28755: John Ferguson
John Ferguson (1908-1944) son of Ewen Ferguson and Catherine Morrison, 30 Laxay joined the Seaforth Highlanders in 1927. He served for three years and was a Reservist for another nine. He rejoined at the outbreak of the Second World War and served as a Corporal, fighting from El Alamain to Tunisia; from Sicily through to Italy and then from Normandy through to the Dutch frontier. He was killed in action in Holland.
