Calum Mhurchaidh

Malcolm (1776-1867) was a son of Murdo Macleod and Christina Maclennan, 22 Old Gravir. The family were originally from Uig, Isle of Lewis.

He was tacksman in Kershader and became the first tenant of No 2 Kershader when crofting tenure was introduced.

Malcolm married Christina Macleod, 4 Kershader. The couple settled at 2 Kershader and they had eight children.

Malcolm was widowed in 1861.

It is believed that Malcolm married again but there is no trace of a marriage.
