John (born 1878) was a son of Donald Macleod and Mary Matheson, 1 Kershader. The family exchanged crofts and moved to 19a Cromore.
In 1883, following the death of their father, the family moved to Buaile na h-Eaglaise, 54 Crossbost.
John settled in Liverpool.
