26540: Henrietta Macgregor
Henrietta (1913-2009) was the daughter of Norman Macgreggor and Isabella Macdonald of 54 Back.
She married Murdo Macleod, 16b Laxay at the High Church, Stornoway on 2 August 1946. They settled at 28 Back and had three children: two boys and a girl. Their youngest child died in infancy.
Henrietta wrote the introduction for Back Croft History.
Despite her age her death, in 2009, was a surprise as she was very spritely and widely expected to reach triple figures.
