26269: Torquil Macleod
Torquil Macleod (1889-1977?) son of Fergus Macleod and Catherine Mackay, 16a Laxay emigrated to the USA along with Kenneth Maciver, 9a Laxay and Kenneth Macleod, 29 Laxay aboard the ‘Caledonia’ from Glasgow to New York on 18-27 May 1912. He lived with a friend, Malcolm Macleod in Boston, Mass, USA. Later he moved to Canada where he lived at Niagara Falls. Served with the Canadians during the First World War.
