26221: John Macleod
John Macleod (1876-1951) son of Fergus Macleod and Catherine Mackay, 16a Laxay served with the RNR duing the First World War. He survived the torpedoing of the HMS Hermes. His next ship was also torpedoed and he was taken prisoner aboard a German submarine but was set free on the approach of a French warship. He married Margaret Macritchie, 21 Gravir.
