Christina, born in 1829, was a daughter of Murdo and Ann nee Macarthur from Uigen. She married Malcolm Mackay from 4 Crulivig and had ten of a family, two of the children dying in infancy. Included in the family was a set of twins. The first of these twins, Malcolm, was born at Drum na Drobha on the Lundale moor whilst Christina was on the way home from the sheiling. The other twin, Angus, was born after she had walked home.

Christina's date of birth is from the marriage register, where it had noted "birth not registered".
