2570: Barbara Ann Matheson

Barbara Ann (born 1904) was a daughter of Malcolm Matheson  and Catherine Macleod, 13 Gravir. She was a pupil at Planasker School.

Her father died in 1918 and the family moved to 94 Alderman Road, Glasgow in 1919.

Barbara Ann emigrated to the United States of America and settled in New York. There are three emigration documents for Barbara Ann; 13th September, 1930 on the SS California, on 21st August 1936 on the SS Caledonia and the Naturalization Documents in 1943 in which she said she emigrated on 3 September 1926 on the SS Levanthian with her brother, Roderick Alexander.

In 1943, she stated she was 39 years old on one form and 41 years old on the second. She was 5ft 7in tall with blond hair, grey eyes and a fair complexion. She was not married and had no children.
