25455: Norman Macleod

Norman  (born 1860) was a son of John Macleod  and Catherine Kennedy,  13a Calbost.

He was a Cottar at 13a Calbost and at Stornoway, in 1888, he married Ann Maclean, 35 Breasclete. Norman and Ann settled at 13a Calbost and they had a son, Robert John who died aged six weeks.

Norman was widowed in 1889 and in 1898 he married Ann Macleod, 13b Calbost. Norman became the tenant at 13b Calbost and he and Ann had nine children, only three of whom survived. There are four unnamed infants who died at birth.

The family moved to Stornoway in 1907.
