24828: Malcolm Macleod

Malcolm Macleod (1920-2003) son of Angus Macleod and Isabella Mackenzie, 9b Laxay was a gunner with the Royal Navy during the Second World War. He served with the North Patrol in the South Atlantic and in the Normandy landings. On VE Day, Malcolm was in Dover on a minesweeper, preparing to go to Norway to open another front. He was in the Merchant Navy after the War.

He married Christina Buchanan, 11 Brenish, Uig and they had a family.

Malcolm was the Tenant of 9b Laxay.
