Rev Alex Murdo Macleod (1932-2006) was a son of Murdo Macleod and Catherine Mackinnon, 1 Ranish. After his mothers death, he and his brother lived at the family home at 1 Ranish. He served in Kinloch from 1963 to 1997, a period of 34 years, after which he retired to Leurbost. His wife was from Laxay.
