Mary (born 1860) was a daughter of George Mackenzie and Catherine Mackay, 7 Laxay.
In Lochs, in 1888, she married Murdo Matheson, 13 Gravir. Mary and Murdo settled at 13 Gravir and they had two children.
Mary was widowed in 1892 and later moved to 17 Bayhead Street, Stornoway. She emigrated to Australia on the SS Osterlay on the 1st November 1913 alone and settled in Sydney.
