Dorothy was one of two girls adopted by Thomas Henderson and Margaret Macleod from 6 Breaclete. They were both devout Christians and their home was often used to cater for visiting ministers at Communion times. Dorothy inherited the croft from her mother’s brother Malcolm and at her death, it was passed to her sister Greta.
